Wishing for 5th gear...

It all started when I was coming home the other day. I just wanted to get home... and of course I got behind one ton flat bed, with a driver that would NOT get near the speed limit. You

You could tell he was shifting from low, to one, so forth and so on... but I don't think the guy ever got to 5th. sigh... I just kept thinking of a neighbor/friend we have (who is no longer farming)... he was well into his 70's at the time... God bless him... and he decided he needed a new flatbed truck. So him and his wife went out and bought one... note... it had been a cloudy Spring... well one day the sun shone through the windshield just right and he noticed that he had 5 GEARS not 4... so he thought he might as well try it out... well... :) he went in the ditch I believe. He wasn't paying attention to the road... just the thrill of 5th.

So that got me wish (on the straight parts of the road) that this gentleman in front of me would find 5th and get the lead out! Not that I wanted him in the ditch... just to move faster than a turtle. Oh well... I got home and that's all that matters.

Now if thing would get back to normal... if there is anything like that. :)

MIA

So life gets in the way... what's new. Life always seems to be getting in the way some how, someway. Just when you think your stress level can't get anymore, it does.

For those of you who are praying, THANK YOU. Right now we can use all we can get and maybe more. I'm so very tired and chores need to be started. Thankfully some hay is coming...

Sorry for rambling... it's been a rough past few days.

It's a two Coke day...

So far I have one can of Coke sitting by me... one can in the milk barn (neither one is finished by the way). It's been a day and a half already and the day isn't even half over yet.

Kids have been fed twice, goats milked once, moo's milked, preg checked, goats fed and moo's fed... barn sprayed down at least until the next milking. I sorta had some breakfast, as in, I picked up a couple of sausage links, and a a few bites of hashed potatoes out of the skillet on my way back out to the barn for the vet check. Some where in there I did answer the phone... I think it was today... pretty sure.

The IBA guy was here today, and my wish finally came true... IBA has a website... I was all excited and everything until I went... what a let down. Oh well... at least there is a comment form... I feel multiple comments being sent. *big grin* They need feed back... at least I think they need MY feedback...

Well I best be off, it's a beautiful day here and I should try and get something done... sounds good doesn't it? We'll see what happens... if anything.

Gone, gone, gone, gone...

Like a freight train, gone like yesterday, gone like a soldier in the civil war bang bang... :) the siggies have left the building, well this building which is a house. They now reside with the US Postal Service...

It's a weight off my mind I can tell ya. There were a few that escaped to who knows where, so there was some last minute sewing... OH and never try to sign your name on fabric with baby goats under your feet... just so not a good thing...

Well babies are crying, calling, lost, hungry... such is life right? :)
